Saliva and Plaque Analysis

Everyone has bacteria in their mouths and the development of plaque is an ongoing process. But sometimes, harmful bacteria take residence in hidden corners of the mouth and can affect overall health. That’s because anything in your mouth also has access to your bloodstream and therefore your entire body. 

For each patient treated at Transcend Dental Health, both saliva and plaque are tested to detect their volume of unhealthy bacteria, fungi, parasites or other pathogens. With the test results in hand, we counsel patients on how to restore the health of their gums.
