Meet the Team

My name is Carla Batts and I have been passionate about the dental field for 32 years, right after graduating the Air Force Dental Academy in 1991. I enjoy looking forward to ensuring patients have an optimal and remarkable experience here at Transcend Dental Health. Outside of the office, I enjoy making jewelry and going on day trips wine tasting in the hill country with my husband of 32 years.

Stephanie (Hygienist)

Stephanie has been practicing Dental Hygiene since 1993. When she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. She is from Memphis, Tennessee where she often goes to visit. She has one daughter who is a news reporter for CBS News in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Stephanie loves her career and when she is not working. Loves to garden, walk, Festival’s and most of all travel.

Born and raised in Indiana, I graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. In 2023 I made the exciting move to Texas, where I’ve been thriving ever since. Outside of work, I’m a passionate traveler and history enthusiast always eager to explore new places and uncover the stories that shaped them. A huge music lover, I spend a lot of time attending concerts and festivals, fully immersing myself in the vibrant music scene. When I m not at work or on the road, I’m discovering new music or binge-watching TV shows and movies with my wonderful significant other and our cat, Lenny.

Soojin Gwon is a Registered Dental Hygienist with over 9 years of experience in the dental field, beginning her career as a dental lab technician in April 2016. She is committed to providing exceptional care and helping patients achieve optimal oral health through education and thorough treatment.

Originally from South Korea, Soojin has lived in the U.S. for more than a decade and moved to Texas in 2023. She enjoys traveling, crocheting, playing board games, and exploring local restaurants when she's not at work. Soojin is always on the lookout for new culinary experiences and loves embracing the charm of Southern hospitality.

Born and raised in Mexico, Angel has called the United States home since the age of 14. A dedicated dental assistant since 2009, Angel is passionate about promoting oral health and helping others maintain bright, healthy smiles. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Angel is committed to providing exceptional care to patients from all backgrounds. Outside of work Angel is a proud dog dad to two beloved pets Loki a playful terrier mix, and Freya, a charming olde English bulldog. When not working or caring for his furry friends, Angel enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as taking the opportunity to learn new things during downtime.

Zenia (Front Office)

My name is Zenia, and I bring 4 years of experience to the field of dentistry, a profession I have come to deeply appreciate and enjoy. As a God-fearing woman, I am passionate about helping others, and I take pride in having the opportunity to do so every day at Transcend Dental. My career began as a dental assistant, and through dedication and growth, I have progressed into a role at the front desk, continually expanding my knowledge of all aspects of dentistry to ensure the best care for our patients.

I am a proud Texas native, a wife, and the mother of three wonderful children. Outside of the office, I cherish spending time with my family, engaging in outdoor activities, staying active in my church, and exploring new dining experiences.

Born in Amarillo and raised in Austin since 2003, Alyssa began her journey in dental assisting in 2024 and quickly earned her certification as a Registered Dental Assistant. She brings a warm, caring presence to the office and is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for.



Outside of work, Alyssa is deeply family-oriented and cherishes spending time with loved ones. She’s also an avid musician and songwriter, often writing and playing music in her free time. Her faith is a central part of her life, and she remains actively involved in her church 

Digna (Dental Assistant)

Digna is an EFDA, DANB-certified, and Registered Dental Assistant who recently relocated from Florida. Passionate about dentistry and holistic care, she quickly embraced transcend dental's approach that prioritizes whole-body wellness. She values being part of a team that supports the community and helps patients improve their overall health, and she’s inspired by the positive changes she sees in those who trust the process. Digna is grateful to contribute to a practice that puts patient care first.
