We can’t guarantee our dentistry surviving the disastrous environment which we call your mouth. There are too many liquids, too many forces, too much going on to guarantee something that is good for your body but also functional with your bite. If we did, then people would fly in far and near to have it.
What we can do is guarantee that you will have a wonderful experience when you come to visit us and that you will receive quality, unrushed and healthy dentistry. If you are not satisfied, then we’ll do everything to make things right. We guarantee that.
You will leave our office knowing fully what is going on inside your mouth or you don’t pay a cent – guaranteed.
Is it safe to have metals in your mouth? For most people, the answer to that question is presumably, yes. The reason why is because metal has been placed in people’s mouths for decades, and for the most part, no one noticed any “significant” symptoms directly related to the use of metals this way.
However, does history mean that we should continue this trend?
We went from using asbestos in our house insulation, lead in our paint, and cocaine in our soda, to making drastic changes AFTER we found out how harmful these materials are in our body. We can now say the same about the metals in our mouth.
How do metals in our mouth cause health problems?
If you accept that our body is a complex web of ions moving in and out of cells, then you also believe that we are living organisms of electricity and energy, easily influenced by frequencies and radiation.
Having different metals in our teeth is like having a battery in our mouth. A battery works when ions move from one metal to a different metal. The solution or medium that these ions travel in is our saliva. This electrical current causes a disruption in our system.
If we have metals in our mouth, then it is best to have them replaced with plastic or porcelain restorations.
How important is your bite? What if it affected your eating, your sleep, your expensive dental work, your nutrition, your energy, your headaches, or your whole body?
No matter how you look at it, the way your teeth come together influences many aspects of your physical body AND your social life. Many patients can be relieved of pain and other symptoms simply by correcting one’s bite.
When your teeth come together, your body will either like the
positioning or will be in disharmony with it. Unfortunately, if your
teeth are not positioned correctly, in a way that your body likes, you
will get unwanted symptoms, and/or your body will adapt to a poor jaw
alignment. Adaption to a poor alignment causes stress and malfunction
and is something we do not want for our patients.
When we balance your bite, we aim for a harmonious biting system with minimal stress on the teeth, jaw and the body as a whole.
Measure twice, cut once: when it comes to your teeth, this adage becomes all the more crucial.
Identifying potential complications and hazards is key before we begin permanently altering on your precious teeth, and the Biocomp Compatibility
Because it’s best to know if you’re allergic to something before it’s put in your mouth, right? With Material Reactivity Testing, that’s just what we check.
Many other dentists won’t, whether because they don’t know about it, are too busy to give alternatives, or don’t know other options they can offer. It’s common enough to become allergic to the nickel in your earrings over time, and the same goes for dental work and the metal crowns often used today: but the effects are so much worse, affecting you and your health in more ways than one.
That’s why we at Transcend Dental Health perform Material Reactivity Testing conducted by Biocomp Laboratories, Inc, and feel it’s common sense to test you and the materials that may be used in your dental care. We want to be proactive in identifying potentially harmful substances, and ensure your care is tailored to you and your needs, instead of bringing more harm than good.
Too commonly, other dentists do not make sure these materials are compatible with your body. We’re committed to helping repair teeth and gums — not introducing new dangers.
A Comprehensive Dental Health Plan
Would you build a house without a plan? Would that plan be a written on a bar napkin in pencil? Absolutely not. Your building plan would include architecture, engineering, HVAC, electrical, framing, plumbing, and all the necessary components for a successful project.
When it comes to your oral health, Transcend Dental Health uses the same level of meticulous planning as an architect would use to build your home. It takes a little bit more time, but it is important to have a solid plan based on knowledge. When we complete your plan, you will leave knowing everything about your teeth, gums, smiles, and how it relates to the rest of the body.
This thorough plan includes a detailed overview of your existing oral condition, an interpretation of your x-rays and photographs, a disease prevention plan, a healthy oral detoxification plan, and a home care plan. Yes… it seems comprehensive, and it is.
A Remarkable Non-Surgical Gum Therapy Program: Without “cutting up your gums,” we can predictably get rid of bleeding and receding gums while controlling the damage that periodontal disease does to your mouth and body.
Gum disease is not a laughing matter. 90% of the population is walking around with it and without a plan to get rid of it. Bacteria find a home in your gums and leave a mark not only in your mouth but in your body.
Our gum therapy is one of the most thorough and effective programs out there. It is all-natural and doesn’t include antibiotics or taking pharmaceutical drugs. If you have a problem with gum disease or if you’re not sure, take a simple test. Floss all of your teeth BELOW the gumline. If you have one spot that bleeds, then you DO have gum disease.
DID YOU KNOW… that at the bottom of the pocket that surrounds your teeth (aka periodontal pocket) there’s a barrier that keeps all the dangerous bugs out of your body. It is one of the most important barriers to protect us from the harmful environment outside our bodies.
DID YOU KNOW… that the barrier we just spoke of is only five cells thick! Imagine that. If that wall breaks down, you are in deep trouble: you are now exposing your internal workings of a magnificent system (your body) to the hazards of the environment. Alert: Gum disease breaks down this barrier.

Is Your Dentist Trying To Kill You?
Most people don’t love visiting the dentist. In fact, many people avoid the dentist at all costs. However, could there be medical reasons to stay away from your dentist’s office and out of that chair? According to the FDA, the answer is YES!
Mercury And Your Mouth
We’ve all read the seafood warnings: “The FDA recommends that women who are pregnant…limit consumption of certain seafood due to the risk of high mercury levels.” So we know that mercury is toxic and we shouldn’t eat it. But what about mercury that’s already in your mouth… permanently?
If you have amalgam fillings in your mouth (the silver kind) you have mercury embedded in your teeth. Don’t have silver fillings? Your dentist used composite fillings? You’re still not out of the woods. Mercury is at it’s most toxic when the filling is placed, and when mercury vapor is released into the air. So even if you aren’t getting the filling, you could still be inhaling the vapor.
Not sure how toxic it might be? Dentists have been using amalgam fillings since the 1800′s, so it can’t be too bad, right? Wrong. The FDA recently released this warning: Dental amalgams “contain mercury, which may have neurotoxic effects on the nervous systems…”
