We are delighted to warmly welcome you to Transcend Dental Health of Round Rock, Texas. This is where Dr. Kevin Chang DDS treats patients with safe bio-compatible dentistry and naturopathy. Our intensive studies enable us to help patients suffering not only from dental diseases but also chronic illnesses. Many chronic illnesses can be traced to unhandled, toxic situations in one or more teeth or the bones of the jaw. Together with a top quality staff and a protocol that consists of vitamin C infusions and acupressure, our doctors are able to deliver the finest patient-centered care.

We fully believe that patients can avoid much of the dental work they would otherwise be destined for by using one of our carefully selected packages of holistic products for oral hygiene. We also care for patients by monitoring their overall health with every exam and using ozone to disinfect the mouth before cleanings.
When offering general dentistry, Dr. Chang fully explain the pros and cons of any treatment so patients can make truly informed choices. The only materials we use in our general dental care are those most compatible with the patient’s body. General dentistry includes not only fillings, crowns, bridges and dental implants, but also the careful removal of mercury and other toxic metals according to strict guidelines to protect the patient.
We invite parents to bring in their children at an early age before problems start, so that we can teach both parents and children how to avoid the need for dental work throughout their lives.
Meet Dr. Kevin Chang
Dr. Kevin Chang earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of the Pacific and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry. During this time, he received many awards for his leadership and service. Upon graduation, Dr. Kevin went to practice in an especially under-served area in New Mexico. He focused on treating patients who were in much need of medical and dental care - many of his patients who had lived lives in poor health and dental neglect. This experience forged a dedication to helping those who are most in need.
Meet Dr. Luis Ortiz
Dr. Ortiz is a dental practitioner with over thirty years of clinical experience, thousands of continuing education hours and dedication to leadership and service. While serving as a dental officer with the US Army he completed a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Arizona. He also attained the Master distinction from the Academy of General Dentistry. His treatment philosophy is the complete integration of the oral cavity as a major important systemic component of the human body functioning in total synchronicity. Dr. Ortiz passion is to treat and educate every patient to obtain maximum wellness.

What Is Holistic Dentistry?
A holistic dentist considers the health of the whole person when treating the teeth, gums or mouth. As a holistic dentist, Dr. Chang does not use heavy metals in any of his treatments and will search the mouth for any sources of a patient’s ill-health or pain. For bacteria and viruses, the mouth is the entrance to the digestive and respiratory tract. Your oral health is the gateway to an amazing, complex system, your body! During dental exams, we seek to evaluate your mouth for any potential signs of harmful bacteria that may be problematic.
